Kaitlin McCarthy-Regan BSN ASN RN BA EMT
Boston Nursing Care & Consulting, Inc. was founded by Kaitlin McCarthy, BSN, RN, with a clear and unwavering mission: to help patients and families navigate the complexities of healthcare with confidence, clarity, and compassionate support.
Throughout her nursing career, Kaitlin witnessed firsthand how overwhelming and fragmented the healthcare system can be. As an Emergency Room Registered Nurse, she cared for patients who were frequently readmitted due to worsening chronic conditions and a lack of adequate support at home. In the Neuro Critical Care (Neuro ICU) setting, she worked closely with families facing life-altering diagnoses, often struggling to understand complex treatment plans and next steps. Time and again, Kaitlin recognized a critical gap between hospital care, rehabilitation, and home—leaving patients and families feeling uncertain and unsupported during some of their most vulnerable moments.
Driven to bridge this gap, Kaitlin created a model of care that extends beyond hospital walls—one that is personalized, coordinated, and truly patient-centered.
Her passion for healthcare began early. As a teenager, Kaitlin served with the Mount Sunapee Junior Ski Patrol before becoming an EMT at just 18 years old. She went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Communication with a business focus from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Although she initially pursued a career in the corporate world, she felt a strong calling back to healthcare to follow her true passion—nursing.
Kaitlin earned both her Associate’s Degree in Nursing and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. While completing her nursing education, she worked as a Newborn Care Specialist, providing hands-on, in-home support to families during the postpartum and newborn period. This experience deepened her commitment to compassionate, family-centered care. Today, as a Registered Nurse and Certified Postpartum Doula, Kaitlin leads BNCC’s doula services—bringing together clinical expertise and a holistic approach to maternal and newborn care.
Through Boston Nursing Care & Consulting, Kaitlin has built a team of highly skilled medical professionals dedicated to delivering comprehensive, concierge-level services throughout the Greater Boston area. Offerings include private nursing care, medical appointment accompaniment and advocacy, care coordination, home care, homemaking services, postpartum doula support, and companionship—ensuring clients receive seamless, individualized care at every stage of their healthcare journey.
Through a foundation of clinical excellence, empathy, and advocacy, Kaitlin and her team are redefining what it means to feel truly supported in healthcare.
Meet Our Nurses!

Clinical Operations Manager
Caitlyn (Cate), RN
Hi, I’m Caitlyn! As the Clinical Operations Manager, I’m passionate about creating systems and support that allow both our clients and caregivers to receive the highest quality care possible. I thrive in fast-paced environments and love balancing organization, leadership, and problem-solving with a warm and approachable personality — because healthcare should always feel human first. My role allows me to support our team behind the scenes through caregiver oversight, client coordination, compliance, and day-to-day operations that help everything run smoothly. I take pride in being dependable, compassionate, and someone both staff and families can count on for support and guidance. When I’m not managing schedules, troubleshooting challenges, or keeping operations moving efficiently, you can usually find me with an iced coffee in hand, multitasking like it’s an Olympic sport, taking care of my daughter, or planning our family’s next Disney vacation. I believe kindness, communication, and a good sense of humor go a long way in building strong relationships and a positive workplace culture.

Nurse Manager
Kaiyla, RN
I am a dedicated nurse currently working as a school nurse on the South Shore, specializing in the care of medically complex adolescents. I began my journey with BNCC in January 2025 as a caregiver and, through commitment and growth, advanced to the role of Nurse Manager within just over a year. I am deeply passionate about home care, where I can provide individualized, patient-centered support that truly makes a meaningful difference in my clients’ lives. Outside of my professional role, I enjoy traveling and creating lasting memories with my two sons, ages 9 and 2. I live by the quote from Lucille Ball, “I have an everyday religion that works for me. Love yourself first, and everything else falls into line,” which reflects my approach to both life and care.

While BNCC has taught me the priceless skills of communication and rapport building with clients and their families. In my free time away from the medical field, I enjoy reading and connecting with nature during walks and hikes. My life motto I live by is “Always stay humble and kind”.

Registered Nurse
Francesca, RN
My name is Francesca Trombino. I’m a Board Certified Medical Surgical Nurse and am currently enrolled to become a Nurse Practitioner. I love caring for those in need which has translated outside of the hospital as well. I’m a part of a disaster response team through MGH and have since fostered a love for helping those close to home as well! I decided to become a home health nurse to help my surrounding community, and hopefully keep those within our communities from entering into the hospital in the first place. I am a strong believer in preventative care which is why I love home health. The connections you make with those you serve are also unmatched! It’s amazing to be able to serve my community but also count those I serve as some of my friends. I love to read and write and I’ve recently taken up gardening (if you have any tips for me I’d love to hear them!). I have a cat named Honey who is such a love bug but grew up with dogs all my life too. I’m an animal lover through and through! I’m honored to be able to help you or a loved one through a trying time and lend a helping hand.

Amara
I chose to become a caregiver to expand my knowledge and grow in the nursing field, which is the career I’m working toward. What I love most about working as a home health aide is the flexibility it provides. This month makes one year of me being in this field, and during that time I’ve earned a biotechnology certificate and completed an EMT course. I’m also passionate about makeup and received a certificate from a makeup program in summer 2023. What makes me unique as a caregiver is that I’m very understanding and deeply empathize with my clients. My favorite quote is, “Each morning we are born again. What we do today matters most".

I believe everyone deserves dignity, respect, and personalized care. A meaningful moment I experienced in caregiving was when one of my clients shared stories about his life before his stroke and all the incredible things he accomplished. It was an emotional moment for both of us. Hearing about his strength and resilience reminded me how important it is to see beyond a diagnosis and honor the whole person. My favorite motto is: “Where there is a will, there is a way.” As I continue my journey through I remain committed to providing compassionate, respectful, and individualized care to every person I serve.
