Kaitlin McCarthy-Regan BSN ASN RN BA EMT
Boston Nursing Care & Consulting INC was founded by Kaitlin McCarthy, BSN, RN, with a clear mission: to help patients and families navigate the complexities of healthcare with confidence, clarity, and support.
Throughout her career, Kaitlin witnessed firsthand how overwhelming the medical system can be. As an Emergency Room Registered Nurse, she cared for patients who were frequently readmitted due to worsening chronic conditions and a lack of adequate support at home. In the Neuro Critical Care (Neuro ICU) setting, she saw families struggling to understand devastating diagnoses and complex treatment plans. Time and again, she recognized a critical gap between hospital care, rehabilitation, and home—leaving patients and families feeling uncertain and unsupported during vulnerable transitions.
Determined to bridge that gap, Kaitlin created a model of care that extends beyond the hospital walls—one that is individualized, coordinated, and truly patient-centered.
Kaitlin’s dedication to healthcare began early. At just 14 years old, she joined Mount Sunapee Junior Ski Patrol, serving for three years before becoming an EMT at 18. She went on to earn a B.A. in Communication with a business focus from University of Massachusetts Amherst. Although she initially worked in the corporate world, she felt called back to healthcare to pursue her true passion—nursing.
Kaitlin earned her Associate’s Degree in Nursing, followed by her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. While completing her nursing education, she worked for two and a half years as a Newborn Care Specialist, providing in-home support to families during the postpartum and newborn period. This experience further shaped her commitment to compassionate, hands-on care within the home environment.
With Boston Nursing Care & Consulting, Kaitlin has built a team of highly trained medical professionals dedicated to delivering comprehensive services throughout the Greater Boston area. The company offers private nursing care, appointment attendance and advocacy, care coordination, homecare, homemaker services, and companionship—ensuring patients and families receive seamless, personalized support at every stage of their healthcare journey.
